The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) Region Dalarna offers specialized care for children and adolescents up to 18 years old with moderate to severe mental health issues. Our area of expertise is broad and encompasses questions regarding mental health issues that occur in children from the newborn period to the end of adolescence. We work cross-professionally to provide the best assessments and care for our children and adolescents. BUP Region Dalarna consists of five outpatient clinics and our county-wide services: ward 68 for inpatient care, as well as an emergency team, family therapy unit, and eating disorders unit - Tornet. We are now looking for several licensed psychologists who want to work as hourly employees focusing on neuropsychiatric assessments within child and adolescent psychiatry.

As an employee of Region Dalarna, you are entitled to a wellness grant of 2000 SEK/year.

  • Independently conduct the psychological part of neuropsychiatric assessments (primarily ADHD and autism)
  • Compile, interpret, and analyze test results
  • Collaborate with other professionals in the team and actively contribute to diagnostic and differential diagnostic reasoning
  • Write reports and participate in feedback conversations with children/adolescents, guardians, schools, and other stakeholders
Additional InformationQualifications

Qualifications:

  • Licensed psychologist
  • At least three (3) years of experience in neuropsychiatric assessments of children and adolescents
  • Good competence in neuropsychiatric testing and assessment methodology
  • Authorization and experience using test instruments such as ADOS-2 and ADI-R
  • Solid knowledge of ADHD, autism, intellectual disabilities (ID), and broad psychiatric differential diagnostics
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
  • Good references on neuropsychiatric assessment work performed in the past year

Meritorious:

  • Previous work with neuropsychiatric assessments of children and adolescents is meritorious.

You need to have a good ability to collaborate but also be able to work independently and make your own decisions. We also value initiative, responsiveness, and the ability to work in a structured manner. We place great importance on personal suitability and willingness to develop.

Employment Type: Hourly employment

Working hours can be scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday between 8 AM and 5 PM.

Work Location: Possible placement locations are: Avesta, Borlänge, Ludvika, Falun, and Mora.
