Job Responsibilities

As a nurse in municipal health and medical care, you will lead the nursing and health care work at the nursing and care home Slottet, which focuses on dementia diseases. You will collaborate with nursing assistants, care staff, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and unit managers. You will also cooperate with primary care, inpatient care, and other actors based on a holistic view of the patient.

You will have overall patient responsibility for the care of your patients. This includes being able to make your own assessments, take samples, perform wound dressings, manage medications, administer injections, provide diabetes care, and other common tasks. The work also includes the prevention of diseases and complications, such as falls, malnutrition, and mental health issues. Furthermore, the job may involve being responsible for end-of-life care.

As a nurse, you will also guide and train/delegate staff in care and health care interventions. You will actively participate in development work to improve our operations.

Qualifications

The role requires:

• You are a licensed nurse
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• Driver's license B

• Specialist training in elderly care
• District nurse training
• Further education in dementia care
• Previous experience in municipal health and medical care
• Other relevant further education for the position

Employment Conditions

Permanent full-time employment. Scheduled working hours 38.25h/week, daytime. Weekend duty during the day every 8th weekend. Start date according to agreement.
