With approximately 4000 employees, the Care and Support Office is the municipality's second largest office. Our main mission is to meet the needs for support, care, and assistance for people at different stages of life. We are also responsible for providing meals to preschools, schools, and the operations of the Care and Support Office. We work with a user-oriented approach where the work is guided by the needs of the users.

About the Facility

Bygdevägen 15 is located in Östra Husby on Vikbolandet and is a special accommodation with 60 apartments, 24 of which are focused on dementia care. The operations are conducted from a 24-hour perspective, every day of the week, and we work purposefully based on a user-oriented approach.

Your Responsibilities

As a care assistant with us, you will be part of a friendly and highly experienced team that helps and supports each other in daily work.

The role involves supporting residents with personal care, meals, activities, and training.

Your responsibilities also include documentation, case management, creating implementation plans, follow-up, medication management, and maintenance of apartments and common areas.

You will closely collaborate with your fellow care assistants, nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. Together, you will ensure that those living with us feel good and receive the help and support they desire and need.

The goal is always to enable the user to continue living an active life with a meaningful everyday life.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is a trained care assistant according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations. It is beneficial if you have experience in care work or from service professions. Previous experience in dementia care is an advantage. In this role, it is important that you can express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written.

As a person, you have a genuine interest in people and are confident in yourself. You are willing to take responsibility, with a good ability to plan and organize.

You are good at meeting different types of people and consider each individual's personal characteristics, needs, and integrity. You are empathetic and can understand someone else's perspective or situation without taking over their feelings.

You are flexible and can adapt to changing circumstances and can quickly change your approach and working methods. You contribute a positive attitude to work to create a good working environment together. You also have the ability to collaborate and apply new working methods both in a group and independently.
