Your daily life as an operations technician

Region Southeast manages the property portfolio in Blekinge, Kalmar, Kronoberg, and Jönköping counties. The region has over 100 employees, most of whom are stationed at the region's three garrison locations - Eksjö, Karlskrona, and Ronneby.

In Karlskrona, we have two operational districts whose work areas largely include operations, supervision, and minor maintenance both inside the naval base and in the outer areas. The teams work with VMP operations and maintenance of Fortifikationsverket's property portfolio - infrastructure and outdoor environments.

We are now looking for an operations technician in Karlskrona. As an operations technician, you will mainly work independently, but also in collaboration with others, with operations and corrective maintenance of our property portfolio. The role includes troubleshooting and repairing various technical installations and infrastructure systems, such as heating, electrical, water, and air treatment systems, as well as control and monitoring systems.

The tasks are distributed throughout the region, and travel may occur to a limited extent. On-call duty may be included in the position. The work involves daily customer contact and close collaboration with the Armed Forces and subcontractors.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with training as an operations technician or property technician, alternatively electrical, HVAC, or refrigeration training or other relevant education, as well as approved high school grades. Your education should have included one of the following: control and regulation (SRÖ), property operations, ventilation, refrigeration systems.

The position requires broad technical experience in property operations and professional experience in control, energy, and HVAC or electrical systems. You have the ability to troubleshoot technical installations and carry out repairs. Furthermore, you have good administrative skills, good computer skills as a user of various support systems, and good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. A B driver's license is a requirement.

It is advantageous if you have training in ventilation, automation, or facility management fire alarms. Training in SBA is also desirable. We prefer candidates with work experience in service and fault reporting, troubleshooting, and preventive work through supervision and maintenance.

About the employment

The position is a permanent employment and may start with a probationary period. As a permanent employee, you will be placed in a military position. The place of employment is Karlskrona. Employment with us requires Swedish citizenship and involves placement in a security class.
