Marinverkstäderna is now looking for a technician in Karlskrona who is interested in maintenance work related to the navy's various diving systems. Here you will have the opportunity to maintain, support, and develop the Armed Forces' diving operations.
About the Department
The Diving Section is one of three sections within the Marinverkstäderna's Marine Equipment Department, responsible for maintenance of various equipment, diving, and life-saving materials within the navy, among others. The department currently consists of 37 employees with operations in central and southern Sweden.
Main Responsibilities
As a technician, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on, among other things, the navy's diving equipment. The tasks require great precision and are very varied, and we also support the development, procurement, and acquisition of diving equipment.
You will work independently or in teams, and some tasks will also be performed in other locations, so travel may occur as part of the job.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Approved high school education or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way that the employer assesses as equivalent.
- Good computer skills.
- Good ability to communicate in spoken and written Swedish and English.
- Driver's license at least class B, manual.

You are calm in your demeanor, accommodating in your approach, and service-oriented. You are technically inclined and have an interest in technology. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities.
MERITORIOUS
- Previously worked as a service technician.
- Experience working in SAP.
- Forklift training.
- Electrical training.

The employment form is a permanent position. The Armed Forces apply a six-month probationary period for those who are not employed by the agency.

Medical examination with a satisfactory result regarding work with thermosetting plastics.
Business trips may occur as part of the tasks.

The overarching task of the Naval Base is to support the naval units with logistics such as transportation, basing, surveillance, and medical care, both at home and abroad. The Naval Base has its headquarters in Karlskrona but operates where needed, for example in Berga/Muskö, south of Stockholm, and in Gothenburg. Other major tasks for the Naval Base include monitoring Sweden's 2700 km long coastline with territorial waters.
