Job Description

In the role of Systems Engineer in security systems, you will work with the development, design, and verification of access and intrusion alarm systems for surface vessels. The work spans the entire project lifecycle – from early requirements analysis and system design to testing, commissioning, and verification on board.

You will participate in the development and further enhancement of security systems where you define the structure of the systems, security levels per zone, and how permissions and alarms should function in practice. The role also includes work with system design, drawing documentation, and technical documentation in close collaboration with other technical disciplines.

The work is often conducted in smaller teams with many contact points, both internally and externally, where you as a Systems Engineer in security systems ensure that the systems meet high demands for functionality, quality, and safety.

About the Candidate

For the role of Systems Engineer in security systems, we are looking for someone with education or practical experience in alarm and security solutions. Post-secondary education is an advantage but not a requirement if you have relevant practical experience in designing and setting up alarm and access systems.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Education or experience in alarm and security solutions
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the Security Protection Act, which requires Swedish citizenship and a clean criminal record.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience in system work within access control and intrusion alarms
• Understanding of electronic systems
• Experience in system design, drawing documentation, or similar technical system work

• Structured: Can maintain order in complex technical projects and work methodically with documentation
• Analytical and problem-solving: Understands complex systems, breaks down problems, and finds solutions that meet security requirements
