We are looking for a school psychologist and head of child and student health for our child and student health team, which includes preschool, primary school, and high school. In preschool, there are approximately 120 children, 310 students in primary school, and 100 students in high school. We have four preschools, two primary schools, and one high school in the municipality.

The position is permanent and full-time.

Job Responsibilities:

The position is a shared assignment that includes the following parts:

• School Psychologist
• Head of the Central Child and Student Health in Övertorneå Municipality
• Operations Manager EMI, medical interventions in student health
• Operational development of central child and student health

The school psychologist is part of the child and student health team and is a resource for students, parents, staff, and the school. You will collaborate with the principal, school nurse, school social worker, special educator, and other staff categories to create a school environment that best supports each student in their development. The mission of student health is to work proactively and preventively.

The assignment involves a managerial role for the central child and student health with budget, personnel, and work environment responsibility, operational development, as well as the role of operations manager for medical interventions in student health. You will also be responsible for the systematic quality work of child and student health. You will be part of the school's management team together with the school manager and the municipality's principals, and you will have the opportunity to develop in collaboration with them. As a manager in Övertorneå Municipality, you will receive support from the municipal management office's staff regarding, among other things, finance, HR, communication, work environment/rehabilitation, IT, and properties. We offer ongoing professional development to foster long-term, sustainable, and quality-assured leadership.

Qualifications:

School Psychologist: You who apply must have Swedish authorization as a psychologist with experience in similar work. We prefer that you have experience working consultatively and in supervising and educating individuals/groups. You should also have experience in psychological work with children and adolescents and be able to conduct psychological assessments and evaluations.

Head of Child and Student Health: It is advantageous if you have completed leadership training and have previous experience in managerial roles.

You are a secure and stable leader with the ability to see the whole picture. You are responsible, flexible, and have a professional approach, a good understanding of the whole, and take responsibility for your and the municipality's assignments. You are driven by collaboration and the belief in the individual's ability in your leadership, which creates conditions to maintain and develop the good results that the school already has. You are courageous and unpretentious in your leadership and collaborate internally and externally in a responsive, communicative, and smooth manner. You contribute to creating good conditions for a trustworthy organization. You are driven and want to develop both yourself and the organization you work in.

We are a municipal authority for Finnish and Meänkieli, so it is advantageous if you also speak one of these languages.

Employment Conditions:
