REGION STOCKHOLM

to apply for the job

Description

ASIH Solna Strand is looking for a physiotherapist who wants to substitute for our regular physiotherapist who will go on parental leave in March 2026.

The position is a one-year temporary contract with a possibility of extension. We hope that you are the one who wants to work with us!

ASIH Solna Strand is one of four units within ASIH Stockholm North (including ASIH care department) and we operate under the management of Region Stockholm. Our workplaces are characterized by a good atmosphere, job satisfaction, and communication. With us, you will work in an interprofessional team with extensive experience. Our goal is to create optimal care based on the patient's needs together with the patient and their relatives. Advanced home healthcare means enabling seriously ill patients to stay at home despite significant care needs. As an organization, we place a high value on employees feeling independent and secure in their profession, with a focus on the patient and their relatives.

The team is based at the office on Hemvärnsgatan 15 in Solna Strand, easily accessible by the blue subway line. You can also walk from Sundbyberg center in 10 minutes. There are buses, commuter trains, subways, and trams available.

Responsibilities

As a physiotherapist within ASIH, you will work in an interprofessional team. The work is very independent and stimulating but also requires good collaboration and communication. As a physiotherapist, you will be there for the patient based on their needs, together with the team. We care for patients with various diagnoses such as cancer at different stages, heart and lung diseases, multi-morbidity, and neurological diseases. It is a positive job where you can do a lot to improve the patient's well-being and focus on the healthy aspects of life.

In Solna Strand, there are currently two physiotherapists, divided into two teams. Each team also includes an occupational therapist, and you work closely together and assist each other as needed. Currently, about 80% of the need for physiotherapists is in Solna and 10-20% in ASIH Danderyd. This means that you may need to start your day at the office in Danderyd (Mörby Centrum) or assist with tasks at the other units during the summer when we reduce staffing and help each other between units.

Your work will include:

  • Identifying and assessing the patient's resources and abilities
  • Prescribing assistive devices
  • Individual-based and functional training in home or department settings
  • Assessment of respiratory function
  • Pain relief through acupuncture and TENS

Qualifications

Requirements: Degree in physiotherapy and a valid driver's license (B).
Preferred: Experience in ASIH and palliative inpatient care. Further education is desirable.

Additional Information

Since patient/relative contact mainly occurs in the patient's home, you cannot be overly sensitive. Pets, smoking, strong odors, and other allergens may be present.

We Offer

  • Flexible working hours agreement
  • 5000 SEK annual wellness allowance
  • SLSO benefits such as free outpatient care and insurance
  • 31 days of vacation after turning 40
  • Vaccinations through occupational health services
  • Contribution towards terminal glasses

We welcome your application today!

The position will be filled provided it is not needed for internal relocation, according to applicable regulations.

In patient-related work within the Stockholm County healthcare area:
