Temporary Positions in Healthcare and Social Services in Falkenberg Municipality

Here in Falkenberg Municipality, you can make a significant difference. Our job is to provide good municipal services at all stages of life. We are also involved in developing Falkenberg as a place. Our vision is to grow for a sustainable future.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We offer jobs in three different areas:

  • Special Housing (housing for the elderly where they receive assistance in their daily lives). Here you work in a group but perform your own tasks. In the short-term department, you work with users who are there for assessment, rehabilitation, respite, or palliative care.
  • Home Care (the elderly live at home and need help in their daily lives). Here you primarily work alone but always have colleagues who can support you in your work. Within home care, there is also a security team that responds to security alarms from care recipients.
  • LSS/Functional Support (housing or daily activities for people with various disabilities). Here you often work in a group with your colleagues but can also work independently.

If you match the needs of our operations, you will be invited to a group interview. During the interview, we will tell you about our various operations and have the opportunity to talk more with you both personally and in a group.

You will receive an introduction at the chosen workplace and shadow a regular staff member so that you feel secure in your role before you start working.

If the units have needs, and you are interested in extra work, it may be possible to start working even before the summer schedule begins.

Regardless of the operation, we offer a varied job where you meet many people and have different tasks.

As a substitute in healthcare and social services, you help people of various ages have a meaningful and functioning everyday life when regular staff are sick or on leave. Tasks may include assisting with morning routines, personal hygiene, going on an outing, or encouraging and motivating care recipients in their daily lives.

All planning is done on mobile devices, so it is clear what you are expected to do, but the job may also involve situations that are not always predictable.

We need employees who can work days, evenings, weekends, or nights. Staff work awake or sleeping on-call to ensure that each user's individual routine and circadian rhythm are maintained.

You also have the opportunity to express interest in weekend work! This means you will have a schedule primarily working weekends. In return, you will receive a higher salary (OB compensation) and more time off during the week. Perfect for those who want to combine work with studies, leisure, or other commitments.

QUALIFICATIONS

It is a great advantage if you have education and experience in healthcare and social services, but it is not a requirement. You need to have a willingness to learn new things and develop.

There are clear routines that it is important to adhere to in order to ensure good care for our users. For example, you may be responsible for distributing medication. This requires great precision.

It is important that you enjoy working with people. Our users need different types of assistance and interaction. You need to be attentive to the users' needs and be good at collaborating with your colleagues.

  • You need to be able to take your own initiative and have the ability to prioritize when several things happen simultaneously.
  • You need to understand, write, and speak Swedish.
  • You need to be able to handle the IT systems necessary for the job, which requires computer skills.
  • In several of our operations, you need to have a driver's license, but it is not required everywhere.

Before a possible employment in healthcare and social services, you need to provide a criminal record extract. This is part of our routine to ensure safety and security in the operation. You will receive more information about this during the recruitment process.

You need to be 18 years or older. The age limit is set due to specific regulations according to the Work Environment Act. Regulations regarding minors' work environment are governed by AFS 2012:3.
