About the job and us

At the Speech Therapy Clinic in Halmstad, about 15 speech therapists work.

We have speech therapists who will be on leave for studies or parental leave, and we want to strengthen our staff over the summer. Therefore, we can offer both a permanent position and two 6-month temporary positions, with the possibility of extension.

At the clinic in Halmstad, assignments are performed both within primary care and specialist care. Patient meetings take place at our general speech therapy outpatient clinic as well as within inpatient care in several of the hospital's departments. Here we meet patients of all ages in several speech therapy areas. The largest patient group we have is children in preschool and school age with speech and language difficulties.

At our Speech Therapy Clinic, you will have the opportunity to develop a broad experience and have a stimulating job with varied tasks. The tasks include assessments, treatments, consultations, and group information. All newly hired staff are offered an introduction and mentorship from an experienced colleague. Our speech therapy clinics are located in Kungsbacka, Falkenberg, Varberg, Halmstad, Hylte, and Laholm and are part of the Rehabilitation Clinic, Halland Hospital. The speech therapy clinics have two common managers and have a close collaboration between the clinics. Our employees are key to Halland Hospital achieving very good results in many national measurements, and we work with continuous improvements. It is easy to thrive with us!

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a licensed speech therapist. You have a knack for expressing yourself clearly and pedagogically in both speech and writing, and you have good knowledge of the Swedish language. A B driver's license is an advantage for the position. To thrive and succeed in the role, you need to have a good ability to build good relationships with our patients as well as with your colleagues. You find it easy to work independently and enjoy it.

The role requires a flexible approach while you have the ability to see the big picture. As a person, you are proactive and achieve results while being able to drive your own processes. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
