We are looking for a Psychiatric Nurse

We are looking for a psychiatric nurse to work with housing with special services focusing on psychiatry.

The position is within the Department of Care and Social Services, and you will collaborate with employees in the Department of Individual & Family Care for health and medical care interventions for the patients we jointly have responsibility for.

The Role of Psychiatric Nurse with Us

Your mission is to plan and execute medical interventions for the patients you are responsible for. Together with your colleagues, you will plan the work for the day and support each other as needed. You will be centrally based in Kungsbacka at Kolla care and nursing home where home healthcare has administrative premises. Your closest nursing colleague, who also has housing focused on psychiatry, is also there, along with a larger team of colleagues working with other housing with special services, as well as occupational therapists and physiotherapists working with the target group. You will work daytime with a flexible working hours agreement. The target group consists of patients aged 18 and above who have received a decision on housing with special services according to LSS. In this role, you will be part of a new project on how we will work with care recipients who have mental health issues in traditional housing within BMSS.

The work is rewarding, independent, and you will join a great team of colleagues where you are both expected to contribute and influence the workplace. Your tasks include, among others:

• Assessments of mental health issues
• Developing action plans and leading care staff in implementation
• Supervision of care staff
• Telephone advice
• Contact with health centers and inpatient care
• Medication responsibility
• Conducting medical assessments based on each specific event
• Performing actions and follow-ups
• Team collaboration with various instances such as Coordinated Individual Planning (SIP)
• Ordering care and medical materials for the patients you are responsible for

You will have dialogue with health centers and specialist clinics. Collaboration and problem-solving are significant parts of the work. In your daily work, you will use many different systems and digital solutions such as the journal system Combine, planning system Lifecare, digital signing system Alfa, and incident reporting in DF-respons.

Your Profile

As a person, you work well with others and see the value in interdisciplinary teamwork. You are accommodating and attentive in your interactions with patients, in staff groups, and with your closest colleagues. You are relationship-building, capable of independently organizing and prioritizing your work. You carry out your mission from a person-centered perspective, which means it is essential to adapt information to the individual's needs based on the target group. You express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, as required in daily work. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who:

• is a licensed psychiatric nurse
• holds a B driver's license

It is meritorious if you have:

• experience working with young care recipients with mental health issues and NPF diagnoses
• experience consulting within healthcare
• experience supervising care staff and licensed colleagues
• specialist degree in psychiatry
• experience from working in psychiatric care
• experience from working in home healthcare

The home healthcare in Kungsbacka municipality is a large organization with almost 200 employees, including nurses, specialist nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. Home healthcare is responsible for health and medical care interventions at the primary care level for patients of all ages. In close dialogue with patients and relatives, we shape good and safe care. The position belongs to the home healthcare unit LSS. The unit consists of nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and a unit manager, totaling 25 people.

Our Offer and Additional Information

We offer a permanent position at 100% with placement according to agreement. You will work daytime, Monday to Friday, with a flexible working hours agreement.

The position is full-time or according to agreement. Within the Department of Care & Social Services, all employees in home care and care and nursing homes are employed at a 100% employment rate, but employees have the opportunity to reduce to the desired employment rate based on the needs of the organization.
