We are now looking for a jack-of-all-trades for Balk & Hiss and the manufacturing of elevator cars outside Kristianstad, in collaboration with Wikan Personal.

Your Responsibilities

When you build and assemble elevator cars, you will work with a variety of materials, such as wood, sheet metal, glass, tiles, stone, and plastic. You prepare and process the materials according to customer specifications and drawings, and then assemble the interiors. The load-bearing structure is often built at our sister company, Balk & Hål.

Your tasks will also include renovation and assembly of elevator cars in the field, e.g., in apartment buildings, public buildings, hotels, or construction sites. These efforts are almost always conducted within Skåne, so overnight stays are not applicable.

You will also work with incoming and outgoing deliveries at Balk & Hiss.

Your Background/Your Qualities

Since you will be working with various materials, you can surely understand that we are looking for a jack-of-all-trades. Perhaps you have training in wood or metal, but your experience or hobbies may have given you a broad craft palette and a generally practical skill set. You may have grown up in the countryside and are used to solving all sorts of problems as they arise and according to your abilities.

If you have experience working with woodworking machines, we consider that an advantage.

As a person, you are driven to find solutions and deliver a neat final product after efficiently completed work. You work independently but are also a dedicated team player, as many tasks are done in pairs.

You have generally good computer skills and communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Requirements for this position include a B driver's license and access to a car, as well as a forklift license.

The position is located at Balk & Hiss facilities in the Ängamöllan industrial area, just outside Kristianstad. The work is during the day and full-time. This position is a temp-to-perm recruitment where you will initially be hired through Wikan Personal, but after six months, the employment is expected to transition to Balk & Hiss.
