Do you want to work in a high-tech environment?

We are now looking for a train technician for our depot in Ulvsunda, where you will work with warranty work and troubleshooting on three of Stockholm's tram fleets. If you want to be part of an engaged team and contribute to the operation of some of Stockholm's most important public transport vehicles, you are warmly welcome to submit your application today.

About the role

As a train technician, you will be a key person in our warranty work, where you will work with a total of 53 tram sets from three vehicle fleets: Lidingöbanan, Spårväg City, and Tvärbanan. All vehicles are CAF trains, which means you will work with modern, complex, and technically advanced systems. The work involves troubleshooting, warranty maintenance, and systematic checks on the vehicles' technical systems. You will work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues, actively contributing to improvements in our processes and routines. Shift work is included.

In this role, you will among other things:

  • Perform advanced and systematic troubleshooting as well as corrective and preventive maintenance on all vehicle systems.
  • Conduct warranty maintenance, such as door adjustments, pneumatic tests, leakage checks, cooling circuits, starter motors, and tests under voltage.
  • Participate in technical investigations and analyses and propose improvements.
  • Take part in trial installations on trams and their systems.
  • Update vehicles and materials in the warranty management system.
  • Conduct quality and safety checks according to relevant railway standards.
  • Ensure that work is performed according to the company's routines and policies.
  • Support production staff with technical issues.
  • Handle technical deviations related to vehicles and components.
  • Contribute to compliance with guidelines within Health, Safety, and Environment.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who has:

  • High school education or equivalent in electrical or vehicle technology.
  • Good knowledge of electricity, electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Experience in troubleshooting (at least 5 years) – preferably from the railway industry.
  • A valid driver's license (B).

You have experience in detecting faults and conducting root cause analysis in various systems. You can interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagrams and are also skilled in using diagnostic software and test and measurement equipment.

As the work takes place in a multinational environment, we expect you to have very good knowledge of both Swedish and English, in both spoken and written form. You can work independently when needed, while also enjoying collaborating in a team. You are adaptable, solution-oriented, and handle changing conditions in a structured manner. Attention to detail and responsibility are crucial in our work, as safety is always a priority and a central part of every task we perform.

Benefits & offerings

We offer:

  • Health and wellness allowance of 4,000 SEK per year
  • Reimbursement for medical expenses and prescription medications up to the high-cost protection limit
  • Professional development and internal training

Location & scope

Location: Ulvsunda
Scope: Full-time
Start date: By agreement
Working hours: Night shifts, working 7 days, off 7 days
Form: Permanent with a 6-month probationary period

As part of our recruitment process, we conduct Master tests OPTO and CORE to obtain a fair and objective assessment of your skills. We perform a background check before an employment offer is made. Since this position is security classified, a health examination is also included in the recruitment process, which is covered by us.

We look forward to your application! The deadline for applications is February 22, but don't wait – the position may be filled before then.
