We are now looking for someone who wants to work as a treatment assistant at Styrmansgatan group home this summer together with us towards our vision; a dignified life for all!

Styrmansgatan Group Home

Styrmansgatan is a group home that offers support and care for adults with mental disabilities. There are 12 apartments for individuals with LSS and SoL decisions, and we are staffed around the clock.

We want to create good conditions for the residents and work habilitatively. Therefore, we are looking for someone who sees the importance of meeting people at eye level, enjoys good collaboration with colleagues, and above all; wants a fun and meaningful summer job!

Treatment Assistant at Styrmansgatan

Job Responsibilities:

- Responsible for care and support based on the resident's needs. - Continuously work with social documentation. - Simple cooking in the evenings and weekends for the residents. - Collaboration with outpatient care.

Qualifications:

We are looking for someone who believes in meetings at eye level and every person's right to a dignified life. You:

• Have education or are studying to become a nursing assistant/caretaker or in social work.

• Have experience with residents with various forms of mental disabilities.

• Have a genuine interest in the target group and want to contribute to a good quality of life for our residents.

• Meet our residents and colleagues with goodwill and respect.

• Have read and share the values of the Rescue Mission.

• Have a good ability to work pedagogically around common goals and methods based on the individual’s implementation plan.

• Can work continuously during the summer period according to the given schedule.

• Are at least 20 years old.

Our target group may periodically be in psychoses or exhibit outwardly aggressive behaviors, and the age requirement is part of our responsibility to ensure a safe and secure working environment for both residents and staff.

As a person, you are secure and stable, with the ability to take responsibility for your tasks and can handle relationships and tasks in a professional manner. When circumstances shift, you adapt and manage the situation with a focus on the right things by listening and prioritizing. You are a team player who finds it easy to convey and receive messages.

• have or have previously had delegation in medication.

• have experience working in psychiatry.

• have experience in care work.

• are accustomed to working in a low-arousal manner.

• can work both summer periods in 2026.

Employment Conditions Scope: Full-time or part-time Employment Type: Summer temporary position Employment Period: Summer periods 26-29 and 30-33 Working Hours: Day and evening as well as every other weekend. Collective Agreement: We are affiliated with the employer organization Fremia and apply the collective agreement “Health, care and other support”. Recruitment: Before employment, we take references and request an extract from the criminal record. Recruitment is ongoing starting in early February. Introduction: Introduction over three days will take place in the spring, and there is an opportunity for hourly employment if desired both before and after the summer.
