About the job
TSG Forwarding AB is a freight forwarding company based just outside Gävle port. The company was founded in 1979 and has been owned by the same family until it was sold in 2020, but the family continues to be part of the company in various roles. TSG Forwarding operates in all areas of logistics with a preference for shipping and containers. In 2025, we handled around 8000 20-foot containers and had a turnover of 400 million SEK.
In the role of freight forwarder with responsibility for customs issues, you will be responsible for handling the company's customs matters, coordinating customs handling, customs permits, and internal training in customs issues. You will also plan, book, and follow up on transports for our customers. TSG Forwarding operates in several different logistics branches, and in your role as a freight forwarder with responsibility for customs issues, you will need to stay updated and gain an understanding of several parallel processes.
You will work and collaborate in a team with other freight forwarders and ship agents at our office in Gävle as well as other satellite offices. Close to our office are the warehouses we manage. Daily visits to our warehouses are necessary, therefore holding a B driver's license is a requirement.
This is a profession with a high level of service, and together with your colleagues, you will work with our foreign and Swedish customers and suppliers to meet their demands and deadlines. The work can sometimes be fast-paced and includes several different parts, which means that workdays often differ from one another. Being flexible in your tasks is therefore important!
The work takes place on-site at our office in Gävle. Working hours are between 8 AM and 5 PM.
As a new employee, you will receive an introductory training from our experienced freight forwarders. The work will then continue with the same colleagues.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is structured and can easily understand different processes and flows
- Has prior knowledge in customs handling and administration
- Good computer skills
- Is service-oriented, can plan, and solve problems that arise
- Is calm and composed even in stressful situations
- Collaborates well with others to achieve the company's goals
- Can act both on their own initiative and seek help from others, taking responsibility for achieving good results
- Enjoys working systematically and meticulously
- Completes work fully according to necessary instructions and ensures that the work maintains high quality
We place great importance on your personal qualities.
Requirements:
- B driver's license
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English
- Good knowledge of customs handling and customs administration
