Job Responsibilities

As a manager, you are expected to lead the department towards set goals with responsibility for finances, personnel, and work environment.

You will be part of the management team of the operational area and report directly to the operations manager. You are expected to work with your managerial colleague and the MLA (medical management responsible) to advance the department's development work. You will work to create and support a culture characterized by continuous improvements with engaged and motivated employees. You will also actively contribute to collaboration and cooperation with other departments, which is a prerequisite for us to succeed in creating the future's full-day care in Psychiatry Halland.

You will be employed in a permanent position in your core profession with a four-year appointment as a manager. Working hours are scheduled during the day.

About the Workplace

To meet the increasing need for forensic psychiatric care, we are now looking for a department manager who will be responsible for department 20 and our forensic psychiatric outpatient team (RPÖ). In close collaboration with the department manager of department 21, you will lead and develop forensic psychiatric care in Halland.

The operation is tasked with receiving patients from all over Halland who have been sentenced to forensic psychiatric care. In department 20, which is a class 3 department, nurses, caregivers, psychologists, occupational therapists, social workers, dietitians, and doctors work. An outpatient team is linked to the department, where nurses work together with doctors.

In forensic psychiatry, we take pride in our care process, where we work closely with our patients. As part of rehabilitation, we offer courses in disease knowledge and emotional workshops. Peer support is also part of forensic psychiatry as a way to support patients' own participation in care. We who work in forensic psychiatry care about our patients and are open to development both individually and for the organization as a whole.

Qualifications

To thrive in forensic psychiatry and in department 20, you need to be good at communicating, be confident in yourself and your leadership, and value interpersonal meetings.

We believe you are a person who enjoys driving, developing, adapting, and continuously improving the operation and supporting the staff in that work. You enjoy working closely with both staff and patients, can solve problems that arise in the work, and value a good working climate.

We are looking for someone with a relevant healthcare education in health and medical care. Experience working in forensic psychiatric care and in a leadership position is preferred. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Interviews are planned for 10/3 in Varberg.
