The operations for geriatrics, neurology, and rehabilitation (GNR) are part of the southern primary care area. GNR has two wards, one focused on rehabilitation (26A) and one for stroke/neurology (26B). It also includes outpatient services in Neurology, Stroke, Geriatrics, and Osteoporosis. GNR is fundamentally well-staffed on the medical side with 20 specialists and 7 residents in internal medicine, neurology, geriatrics, and rehabilitation medicine. We are now looking for a junior doctor to GNR in Sundsvall for employment during the spring and summer of 2026.

As a junior doctor at GNR, you will primarily work with wards 26A and 26B. The medical unit implements a working method where junior doctors can also staff our outpatient clinics under supervision. The position as a junior doctor is a great opportunity for you who want to grow and develop in your medical role; we offer a good working environment with competent and positive colleagues from various professional categories with solid knowledge and experience. Your main tasks will be ward work.

The position is a fixed-term full-time employment starting in March 2026 and lasting until September 2026, with a possible extension.

Junior doctor non-licensed to GNR, Sundsvall Responsibilities

As a junior doctor with us, your responsibilities will include:

• Working on the ward under supervision
• Outpatient work with supervisory support

We are looking for someone who:

• Has completed at least semester 10 of the medical education
• Has good knowledge of Swedish in spoken and written form

It is advantageous if you:

• Are a licensed physician
• Have work experience in ward work within rehabilitation, geriatrics, or neurology.
• Have experience working with the Cosmic journal system
