We are now looking for an experienced sub-project manager for Trafikverket, unit IVnrj2, which carries out railway projects within Trafikverket's Northern region. The assignments are mainly conducted in Jämtland and Västernorrland counties and cover the entire project chain – from planning as needed to production and handover to management.

About the role

In the role of sub-project manager for Electrical/Signal, you will work closely with Trafikverket's project organization and contribute to ensuring that railway projects are planned, executed, and followed up in a structured and efficient manner. You have a central function in the projects and are responsible for coordinating technology, economy, and time in close dialogue with clients, internal resources, and external parties.

Your tasks include, among other things:

• Coordinate and manage parts of railway projects within Electrical and/or Signal in accordance with Trafikverket's working methods
• Follow up on the projects' progress regarding time, economy, quality, and content
• Develop and update schedules, calculations, and budget documents
• Participate in and lead meetings with the project organization, contractors, and consultants
• Ensure that applicable requirements, standards, and regulations are adhered to in the implementation of projects
• Provide technical support and advice within the Electrical/Signal area
• Work closely with the client and other functions within Trafikverket

Mandatory requirements

All requirements must be clearly stated in the CV, including periods, assignments, scope, and responsibilities.

1. University education, technical orientation, at least 180 credits (120 points), or equivalent knowledge that the client assesses as equivalent. The technical knowledge must then be within electrical or signal technology within railways.
2. Have completed training to function as the Client's construction work environment coordinator, Bas-P and Bas-U (scope at least according to recommendations from the Swedish Work Environment Authority, scope 48h).
3. Be able to express oneself well in Swedish both orally and in writing.
4. The consultant must hold a valid B driver's license and be responsible for providing a company car for travel in the service.
5. The consultant must have knowledge of laws and regulations as well as standards and regulations within relevant areas, such as electrical safety, traffic safety, work environment, and environment.
6. The consultant must have completed BASÄSKYDD (SoS leader) and have conducted annual repetition (authorization must be current).
7. At least 5 years of work experience as a sub-/project manager or in a supervisory/construction management function from railway projects involving EST work. The supervisory/construction management function must have been from either Electrical or Signal (or combined). The work experience must not be older than 8 years.
8. Reference from at least 2 contracts with responsibility for electrical or signal (individual technical area or combined), either as sub-/project manager or from a supervisory/construction management function. Assignments must have been performed in the last 8 years and with a contract sum of at least 30 million SEK.
9. The consultant must have 5 years of experience in contract follow-up and work with consulting and contract law (AB, ABT, ABK, AMA, MER, RA)
10. The consultant must have experience in financial management and forecasting.
11. The consultant must have experience in conducting production planning of railway contracts to determine the need for times in the track.

Assignment information

The assignment is to start no later than 2026-03-01 until 2028-04-30 from the time the contract comes into force.

Option: The client has the unilateral right to extend the contract with existing contractual terms for an additional twelve (12) + twelve (12) + twelve (12) months

Scope: The estimated workload for the assignment is 80-100% of annual working time, amounting to 1,700 hours.

The stationing location for the assignment is: Any location of /Östersund//Sundsvall/Härnösand. This assignment requires physical presence at Trafikverket's office for 3 days a week.
