Swedron is one of Sweden's leading players in drone technology. We offer comprehensive solutions for companies, authorities, and organizations, including sales, service, leasing, training, and support. We are now starting an Authorized Drone School (ADS) and are looking for an Operations Manager who will have the operational responsibility for the training activities.

About the role

As Operations Manager, you will have the operational and regulatory responsibility for Swedron's Authorized Drone School. You will report to the Swedish Transport Agency, be responsible for all parts of the training activities, and ensure compliance with the requirements of EASA's regulations. Since the regulations are continuously updated, it is also an important part of the role to stay updated. The role includes operational responsibility and active participation in the training activities. You will be responsible for documentation, certificates, student registers, assessments, and examinations, and will also participate in teaching, both theoretically and practically, focusing on ensuring that each component meets the required level and complies with current regulations. You will work closely with an experienced instructor responsible for developing course content and pedagogy. Together, you will also develop the school's communication, training materials, and internal handbook, with the goal of creating clarity, quality, and trust.

The training is aimed at both companies, municipalities, and authorities. Some parts are held digitally, while others take place on-site, either at our office in Gothenburg or, in some cases, at customer locations.

You will, among other things:

  • Be responsible for documentation and reporting to authorities

  • Conduct and participate in training sessions, theoretical components, assessments, and practical examinations

  • Work proactively with customer contact and answer questions about regulations, permits, and content

  • Drive the school's development forward: create routines, recruit instructors and educators over time

  • Represent the school externally in workshops and marketing activities

  • Consult with companies/authorities on applicable regulations and assist them in their application processes

We are looking for someone who...

...has integrity, structure, and a clear sense of responsibility. You are used to working in regulated environments with high quality standards, and at the same time, you understand what is required in an entrepreneurial-driven company where development happens quickly and conditions can change. You are confident in making decisions, business-minded in your approach, and solution-oriented in your daily work. You have no problem switching between documentation, authority contact, customer dialogue, and operational implementation. You have a background in aviation and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment where structure is built as the business grows.

  • Several years of experience in manned or unmanned aviation, or quality-controlled industries

  • Good knowledge of EASA regulations for drones is an advantage

  • Comfortable working operationally in a role that involves extensive documentation responsibility

  • Confident in teaching, examining, and working closely with authorities

  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

  • Driver's license
