Scandic Europa is located just 97 steps from Gothenburg Central Station, right next to the city’s popular shopping area – Nordstan. The hotel is one of Scandic’s largest with a total of 456 rooms, ensuring that there is always something happening in the house. Additionally, the hotel has a distinct music profile that contributes to a lively environment, just like our restaurant HAK. What does the role of chef entail?

Here, you will have a very important task at the hotel by ensuring a world-class guest experience when it comes to our food and beverage environments. Your main responsibilities are to plan, prepare, and cook food, as well as present the dishes in an appealing manner. You will also support and assist the team in other areas of the hotel as needed.

Who are you?

To fit into the role, you need to have a passion for food and be attentive to details and guests' individual needs. You appreciate order and cleanliness, both in your own work and that of your colleagues. All to provide our guests with a fantastic dining experience. For this position, we want you to have completed culinary training or have acquired equivalent skills in another way. Personal qualities and attitude are the most important factors for this recruitment. To fit into the role, you need to be a good team player who takes significant responsibility for your tasks and the overall result. It is also important that you can convey good hospitality to the hotel’s guests.

Information about the position:

The position is a temporary part-time employment. Start immediately until December 31, 2026. We apply a probationary period. Your immediate supervisor will be our Head Chef. The position includes day shifts and evening shifts during weekdays and weekends. The need is primarily for evenings, but daytime shifts may also occur.
