The General Psychiatry Piteå is a specialist psychiatric outpatient clinic consisting of several competencies that perform assessments, treatments, and follow-ups for people over 18 years with moderate to severe psychiatric needs. The clinic operates within the catchment area of Piteå Älvdal, which includes the municipalities of Piteå, Älvsbyn, Arvidsjaur, and Arjeplog. We receive patients at our clinic but also act as outreach. As part of this mission, established collaboration networks exist between us and other services within Region Norrbotten, such as the Piteå-Älvdalen health centers, Piteå Municipality, and other health care services. The psychiatric service is undergoing a transition to Close Care, where we move care into the home, close to the patient. Since we are a clinic with about 70 employees, we must work together to meet the mission in the best way.

Currently, an exciting project is underway at the clinic through the work with the specialist psychiatric nursing team, SPOT, which works preventively to prevent the need for hospitalization in inpatient care, reduce the time in full-day care, and offer greater participation in the patient's care and early interventions at the right time.

We are looking for

We are looking for you with a degree in psychology and good knowledge of the Swedish language. Knowledge of minority languages and the journal systems VAS or Cosmic is meritorious for the position, as well as the following experiences:
- Experience in psychiatry
- Experience as a psychological therapist
- Experience with psychological assessments
- Experience in health care

This is what you will work with

As a PTP psychologist, you will be offered developing and varied tasks with us. The tasks mainly consist of assessment, investigation, and treatment of our patients with psychiatric conditions in need of specialist-level care. We are looking for you who have a degree in psychology, and previous experience in psychiatry is meritorious. There is an opportunity for individually adapted work pace.

Information about the position

We offer a training position for one year. Working hours are daytime, 08:00-16:30, break 12:00-12:30, on-site. Start date according to agreement.
Due to the nature of the business and safety requirements, applicants to our organization must be prepared to provide a criminal record extract.
