At Ictech in Gothenburg, we are now looking for an experienced engineer with a strong technical background in Embedded Linux who is ready to step into a role as Product Owner!

This is a role for you who is confident in coding but is ready to take a step towards a more responsible and overarching role.

About the role 

In this role, you will step in as Product Owner for an Ictech team working with one of our clients. Embedded Linux-based software platform within automotive. You will work closely with the development team and take responsibility for priorities, structure, and direction, while having enough technical weight to make well-informed decisions.

You are not expected to have worked as a Product Owner before, but you need to be curious and ready for a role with clear responsibility for the group, where your focus is on having an overview of the system, quality, and progress rather than just code.

Coding occurs (mainly in C++), but to a lesser extent over time, as your responsibilities grow.

Examples of tasks:

• Drive the work around a Linux-based automotive software platform

• Work closely with the development team on priorities and technical choices

• Ensure quality, structure, and have a forward-looking perspective on what is coming further down the line

• Contribute technically where needed, mainly in C++ and Python

• Be a unifying force in the team, both technically and organizationally

The platform is used in an environment where stability, performance, and reliability are crucial, systems that need to work in reality, not just in theory.

We are looking for someone who:

You have solid experience in Embedded Linux and feel comfortable in environments where system understanding, stability, and long-term thinking are essential. You are ready for a role with greater responsibility and clear ownership of the group. You are communicative and thrive in the dialogue between technology and people. 

• Are fluent in programming languages such as C++ and Python 

• Experience and familiarity with working in Jira 

• Experience with C, GoogleTest, JSON, Cmake, Git, and Jenkins is a plus

• Swedish is a plus, but not a requirement.
