About the Community Planning Department

The Community Planning Department works comprehensively for sustainable development in the city of Mölndal, urban areas, and rural areas. The department works purposefully to make Mölndal an attractive, sustainable, and successful city in the region.

The Community Planning Department is responsible for the long-term physical planning of the city and builds the sustainable city, based on a holistic view of urban development.

The assignment includes, among other things, strategic community planning, comprehensive and detailed planning, plan implementation, as well as management and development of Mölndal's own real estate portfolio, investment projects, land and exploitation, traffic development, and long-term planning of land and water use. The work takes place in a dynamic and development-oriented environment, where we together create the best conditions for the city's residents and businesses.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you our new property engineer with a focus on control, regulation, and monitoring?

Do you want to work closely with technology while contributing to sustainable solutions for the city's properties? We are now looking for a property engineer with technical competence in control, regulation, and monitoring (SRÖ) and HVAC for a role where quality, energy efficiency, and development are in focus.

About the position

As a property engineer within SRÖ, you are responsible for developing, quality assuring, and following up on the city's technical installations within control, regulation, monitoring, as well as heating and ventilation. The role is central to ensuring energy efficiency, operational reliability, and long-term sustainability in the city's properties.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the city's technical requirements and guidelines within SRÖ and HVAC.
  • Review technical documents before and after contract procurement.
  • Support project managers and project actors throughout the construction process as a specialist.
  • Be responsible for SRÖ systems such as Web Port, Schneider EBO, and Siemens Desigo CC.
  • Ensure quality in contracts and follow up on service and operational agreements.
  • Handle authority inspections: procurement, ordering, and control.
  • Contribute to the development of long-term maintenance plans for technical installations.
  • Provide technical support during design and procurement.
  • Follow up on finances and perform invoice controls.
  • Be the contact person for consultants and contractors.
  • Provide specialist support to managers and other functions within city maintenance.
  • Quality assurance and follow-up of energy data: Ensure that measurements of energy and media consumption are correct, and manage invoices and budget control.
  • Analysis and reporting: Responsible for energy analyses and follow-up of key figures using energy demand calculations and statistical methods.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with relevant university or vocational training in HVAC, energy, property technology, or other competencies acquired through equivalent experience. You have good experience with control, regulation, and monitoring systems (SRÖ) as well as HVAC installations and are well-versed in contract law and the various stages of the construction process. Furthermore, you have experience in procurement and review of technical documents, which allows you to contribute in both early stages and during implementation and follow-up of projects.

You have good knowledge of SRÖ systems such as Web Port, Schneider EBO, and Siemens Desigo CC, as well as a good understanding of energy efficiency and sustainability principles. You are used to analyzing technical requirements and ensuring that contracts and deliveries are followed up in a structured and quality-conscious manner.

To thrive and succeed in the role, you are structured and meticulous with good problem-solving skills. You are communicative and collaborative, with experience working together with various actors and professional roles. At the same time, you are independent and proactive, with a clear drive to contribute to the development and improvement of work methods and technical solutions.
