We are currently looking for dedicated environmental workers for our depot in Upplands Väsby.

About the Job

Verdis is responsible for waste collection in several municipalities in northern Stockholm, where we work on behalf of and in close collaboration with the respective municipality. We are now looking for someone with a C driver's license and YKB who wants a flexible and mobile part-time job as an environmental worker with us. You will be part of our staff pool and cover during peak times or when regular staff are absent. There is also the possibility of full-time work during the summer holiday period.

As an environmental worker, you are a key person in our daily operations – Verdis' face to the public and part of the team that ensures our municipalities remain clean. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that the waste management assignment is carried out in accordance with our routines and our client's requirements. You report to the local management.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Collection and transport of waste with rear-loading collection vehicles
• Handling of vehicle computers and RFID equipment
• Reporting deviations
• Daily maintenance/check of vehicles and superstructures, as well as washing them when needed
• Submitting vehicles to the workshop when necessary

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a C driver's license with the associated YKB
• Masters the Swedish language in speech and writing

It is an advantage if you have:

• Previous experience from similar work
• Driven rear-loaders before
• Knowledge of digital deviation management
• Familiarity with precision driving

This position suits you if you have good physical fitness and enjoy a mobile job in a fast-paced environment. You appreciate being outdoors and have no problem working in all weather conditions. As a person, you are service-oriented with good teamwork skills and have a solution-oriented approach. We also believe that you are responsible and take pride in performing your work in the best possible way.

Employment type: On-call employment, with the possibility of summer vacation substitute (full-time) during the summer period

Working hours: Our operations are running Monday to Friday, daytime between approximately 06:00-15:00
Location: Vällsta, Upplands Väsby
