Within Region Västernorrland, there are three primary care areas; south, west, and north where local collaboration occurs within/between municipalities, primary care, and specialist care. Together, we work to create a cohesive care chain for the growing patient groups of chronic and multi-sick individuals.

The Northern Primary Care Area has a hospital and six region-run health centers. In the area, there is a private health center as well as a municipality. The Northern Primary Care Area has approximately 530 employees and two department heads.

At the Emergency Department in Örnsköldsvik, we have about 55 employees, consisting of 35 nurses and 20 nursing assistants. We are now looking for nursing assistants for summer temporary positions during the period 2026-06-09 to 2026-08-17.

At the emergency department, we work in teams of nursing assistants and nurses. The work today can be demanding at times and requires resilience to stress. Being versatile is something we see as a given here at the emergency department as we operate in an environment where tasks vary. The role includes nursing assistant tasks within emergency care. In addition to the usual tasks, there are responsibilities and active participation in the development of the emergency department. We work based on the prioritization system RETTS.

We currently offer recurring training both internally and externally within the emergency clinic, such as ATSS. To ensure established knowledge, we also conduct recurring repetitions of completed training. We use a work time model with a points system.

We are looking for someone who

• Is a trained nursing assistant, or studying to become a doctor or nurse and has completed semester 4. For nursing students from Umeå University, completion of semester 3 is sufficient for this summer position.

It is an advantage for the position if you

• Have experience in emergency care.
