RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a survey engineer with leadership responsibility for the mapping and measurement function in the geodata unit at the Strategy and Planning Department within the Community Building Administration.

The Community Building Administration is responsible for the municipality's community building, including water and sewage networks, playgrounds, roads, map production, comprehensive and detailed planning, and property formation. We also handle building permit management and building supervision. The geodata unit is responsible for the municipality's GIS system, map supply, base networks, production of new construction maps, base maps, detailed measurements, house placements, registers (address, building, and apartment registers), GIS assignments, and the establishment of 3D. Do you want to use your experience to lead others, develop work methods, and influence how the mapping and measurement operations are conducted moving forward? Then this could be the right role for you. As a survey engineer with leadership responsibility, you will hold a key position where technical competence is combined with leadership and operational development.

You will lead and coordinate the work of the measurement team and be responsible for planning, distribution, prioritization, and follow-up of assignments. With your experience, you ensure effective workflows and deliveries of high quality. You will coordinate the collection of geodata, for example, collected through terrestrial measurements, stereo mapping, and drone flights, and ensure that measurement data meets applicable quality requirements and measurement routines.

A central part of the role is to develop the mapping and measurement operations. You will drive improvement work within measurement methods, digital tools, and processes, contributing to the operation working more efficiently, uniformly, and sustainably for the future. There are good opportunities to influence the choice of work methods, technology, and priorities.

The assignment also includes operational work. You will have customer contacts and work with preparations, measurements, calculations, map production, and related administration. You will serve as a technical support to colleagues and contribute to knowledge sharing and competence development within the team.

If necessary, you will participate in management meetings and contribute your expertise in planning, coordination, and development of the operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• Practical and theoretical knowledge in geodesy and measurement technology
• Good experience working with Geosecma for ArcGIS/ArcGIS Pro
• Several years of experience in measurement work
• Good collaboration skills
• Interest in new technology and in developing the operations

Desirable experiences:

• Experience in municipal operations
• Experience in leadership, coordination, or project management within mapping and measurement operations
• Experience in property formation

Personal qualities:

• Ability to work both independently and in a team
• A positive attitude and service mindset
• Structured, solution-oriented, and quality-conscious
