We are looking for a group of new colleagues for our Finnish-speaking work team at Glöstorpshöjdens care and nursing home.

The City of Gothenburg is part of the Finnish administrative area, which means that the Swedish-Finnish minority has the right to receive all or a significant part of their care in Finnish if they wish. At Glöstorpshöjden, we offer care in Finnish. We are looking for several new colleagues for both daytime and night shifts.

In your work, you start from the strengths of the resident and utilize the individual's resources. You motivate and stimulate the resident based on their individual conditions in their own home, which is part of the care and nursing home.

Your tasks include everything from personal care, support around meals, encouragement, and support in social activities such as celebrating Finnish holidays, as well as collaboration with relatives. Some tasks you perform on behalf of licensed staff. You are also a contact person who helps the resident articulate their needs and wishes.

About You

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant and can show the Socialstyrelsen certificate for protected professional title or demonstrate that you were employed as a nursing assistant when the new regulations were introduced.
Can speak Finnish in a way that is understandable to other Finnish speakers.
The work requires computer skills for documentation in IT systems and good Swedish language skills both in speech and writing.

Desirable but not required for the position

Experience from previous care and nursing work.
Further education focusing on dementia or elderly psychiatry.

You have the ability to collaborate with others to perform tasks and achieve goals, contributing to a respectful work climate. You are flexible and can easily adapt your working methods based on changing conditions and new information. You are stable and secure, work effectively under stress, and maintain calm in difficult situations.
