We are looking for an Orthodontic Assistant or Dental Nurse who values good service and a positive attitude and thrives in a self-directed and responsible role.

Main Responsibilities and Tasks

As a dental nurse with us, you play an important role in ensuring that patients feel welcomed and secure during their visit. At the Specialist Clinic for Orthodontics in Stenungsund, you will meet patients with braces. Most of our patients are between 14 and 23 years old. You will utilize all your skills while the position also requires creativity, empathy, and a sense of service.

We work in teams with varying compositions where dental nurses and orthodontic assistants independently perform part of the patient treatment within their area of competence.

If you are already an orthodontic assistant, you are well qualified to work with us.

Even as a dental nurse, you are welcome to apply for a position with us. It is important that you are interested in orthodontics and want to work independently. As part of your work with us, there is an opportunity to attend orthodontic assistant training. The orthodontic assistant training is a 2-year supplementary education that takes place during working hours and is funded by the employer.

Your role includes:

• Assisting in examinations and treatments
• Managing your own patient treatments within your competence
• X-rays
• Photography
• Administration
• Intraoral scanning

The Specialist Clinic for Orthodontics in Mölndal/Stenungsund is a clinic with two locations, together we are about 30 employees. The current position is located in Stenungsund. The clinic has 7 employees, is located in central Stenungsund, and is co-located with general dental care.

The Specialist Clinic for Orthodontics in Mölndal is located in a specialized building where all specialties and general dental care are represented. We also have our own dental laboratory adjacent to the clinic. The clinic is located at Mölndal Hospital.

Qualifications and Profile

• Orthodontic assistant or trained dental nurse with an education from MYH (The Authority for Higher Vocational Education)
• Interest in orthodontics
• Proficiency in the Swedish language equivalent to Swedish high school or Swedish C1 in both spoken and written form
• Ability to independently manage administration
• Aptitude for organizing and prioritizing work effectively and wisely
• Ability to present a stable and calm impression even when there is a lot to do
• Ability to collaborate and relate to others in a responsive manner
• Good computer skills

If you are new to the profession, you will receive an individually tailored mentoring program during your initial period.

About the Recruitment Process

If you are not already employed with us, you will be contacted by a recruiter from the HR unit for an interview. After the application period, the clinic manager will select applicants and invite them for an interview at the clinic.
