Just 150 meters from Linköping Central Station lies Scandic Frimurarehotellet – the hotel where tradition meets the future. Located right next to the Cathedral in one of Linköping's most beautiful buildings, our modern and relaxed hotel has roots dating back to 1912. The hotel is the largest in Östergötland and hosts everything from meetings and weddings to large banquets.
We are nearly a hundred employees, originating from all over the world, just like our guests. Being a large hotel, and having three Scandic hotels in Linköping under common management, provides excellent development opportunities for our staff.
We are now looking for a Shift Leader for Scandic Frimurarehotellet.

What does the role of Shift Leader Front Office entail?
As someone working in Front Office, you are responsible for ensuring our guests receive world-class service. You are the spider in the web, ensuring that the guest is always the focus. You are the one who goes through the arrival list and pays attention to the details. You solve most issues and are a star at turning a dissatisfied guest into a satisfied one. Your responsibilities also include administrative work, safety tasks, and sales work. The work in Front Office involves checking in and out hotel guests, welcoming them, and providing the information they need about their stay. You handle bookings in the Opera Cloud system and manage administrative tasks related to guests and safety.
In the role of Shift Leader, in addition to being part of the operations, you have an overall view of the guest flow and, together with the team, prioritize tasks to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction. You lead and delegate work and manage staffing during your shift. If necessary, you will train new employees at the hotel and also relieve the Front Office Manager of certain administrative tasks.
The hotel is open 24/7, so it is important that you enjoy working shifts (mornings, afternoons, and weekends).
Your qualifications
For this role, you need both the ability and willingness to work with hands-on leadership. You are confident in your leadership, possess integrity, and have a sales drive. To fit in this role, we also believe you have well-developed social skills and can handle many different things happening simultaneously. It is very important that you can convey good hospitality to the hotel's guests. You are a responsive and unpretentious team player who takes significant responsibility for your tasks and the overall result.
You also have experience and knowledge of working with computers as a tool.
Since the job largely consists of communicating with guests, good knowledge of Swedish and English is a prerequisite. If you speak another language, it is an advantage.
