JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to help create memorable experiences for our visitors this summer?

As a tourist information officer, you will become one of Tjörn's most important ambassadors. You will meet guests from near and far and help them discover the best of our fantastic island, always with a warm, engaged approach and personalized tips.

Your work will take place at the tourist office in Skärhamn, at our attractions, and during events. You will provide service through face-to-face meetings, phone, email, and social media.

You will be part of a wonderful and close-knit team that works with both the tourist office and customer service year-round. With us, service and good reception are at the center, and we have fun together.

Your tasks will include:

• Inspiring and providing tips on Tjörn's fantastic attractions, swimming spots, and hiking trails
• Ordering and replenishing brochures and goods
• Contact with local businesses and associations within the tourism industry
• Selling souvenirs, tickets, and bus passes.

The tourist office is open every day of the week during the summer, and weekend work is included.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• has a high school education in tourism or equivalent competence
• has experience in service, preferably from the tourism industry
• is social, engaged, and enjoys meeting people
• can express themselves well in both Swedish and English, in speech and writing
• has good computer skills.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

It is advantageous if you:

• have post-secondary education in tourism
• have an interest in digital development within the tourism industry
• have good local knowledge and understanding of Tjörn's history and attractions
• can speak multiple languages
• have a B driver's license.
