About the Department

Department 134 is a highly specialized care unit within Rehabilitation Medicine, focusing on individuals affected by spinal cord injuries or diseases of the spinal cord.

Here, you will help create hope for our patients – from the acute stage through the entire rehabilitation process.

We work with patient-centered care where the patient's goals are at the center and set together with our interdisciplinary team. With us, you will have continuity and security – with an average length of stay of about three months, you will really get to know your patients. We have an open and learning climate where you collaborate with experienced colleagues and specialists such as physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, social workers, and sexologists. Here, you will have time for reflection and community – we value growing together, both as a team and as individuals.

Job Responsibilities

As a nurse, you will perform standard nursing duties and be responsible for a smaller number of patients per shift, allowing you time to create security and continuity. You will be an important part of our team and follow the patient through the entire rehabilitation process.

In the event of recruiting nurses/doctors with foreign licenses/specialist certificates, the current position will be preceded by a process to meet the requirements for Swedish licenses/specialist certificates.

If you are a newly graduated nurse, you will be part of the Clinical Foundation Year, which is our introductory program. The Clinical Foundation Year is mandatory and lasts for the first year of your employment with us. It includes lectures, nursing supervision, and practical training of your profession at the Simulation Center. Additionally, it includes service in at least two different departments to broaden your competence.
