RESPONSIBILITIES

The operations and maintenance department includes units such as parks, nature and leisure, traffic, and streets. We are now looking for summer workers for these operational units. As a summer worker with us, you will perform all common tasks. This may include lawn mowing, planting, watering, weeding, and pruning bushes and trees, litter picking and waste management, cleaning and maintaining equipment, trimming, etc. It may also involve the maintenance and upkeep of sports fields, outdoor areas such as swimming areas, trails, and paths, as well as other outdoor environments within our areas of responsibility. We use several larger and smaller machines, and daily maintenance of these is included.

We work in groups, and in some cases also independently for periods. You are responsible, together with your colleagues, for ensuring that assigned tasks are performed correctly and safely. The work requires good teamwork skills, a service-oriented attitude, responsibility, and good physical condition.

We are located at Stinavägen 3 (street), Nydalavägen, and Alegatan (Park) and the sports field Teleborg (Nature and Leisure). Please indicate in your application where you are most interested in being, or if it does not matter.

Weekend work may occur.

QUALIFICATIONS

You should have relevant education and/or experience in operations and maintenance or the green sector. It is advantageous if you are experienced and handy with machines. We require a B driver's license for manual transmission. You must be at least 18 years old to work in our operations. You should master the Swedish language in both spoken and written form, as well as have good computer skills.

You enjoy working both in a team and independently. You are service-oriented and have a sense of precision. You thrive working outdoors in all weather conditions and are not afraid to pitch in when needed. The work is physically demanding.

The Operations and Maintenance Department conducts service activities, which requires you to have an understanding of diversity and social contacts. You feel comfortable in the environment we represent and have the ability to meet both colleagues and municipal residents with respect and understanding.
