About the position

Byggstål is looking for an engaged and self-driven Project Manager who wants to help drive and develop our construction projects, large and small, within steel construction. The role entails overall responsibility for all aspects of the projects – from calculations and quotes to planning, execution, follow-up, and invoicing.

As a project manager, you will work closely with the business and operate with significant responsibility. You will lead several projects simultaneously and act as the hub between the customer, design, workshop, and internal functions. You will ensure progress, profitability, and quality throughout the process.

The position is full-time and based at our office in Karlstad. The role involves customer visits and project follow-ups in the region, usually during the day, and to facilitate travel, a company car is included.

Responsibilities

· Calculate jobs, quantify, and prepare quotes

· Write quotes and engage in business dialogue with customers

· Lead projects from start to finish, including financial follow-up and invoicing

· Manage drawings, technical documents, and specifications

· Order materials and create orders for production

· Follow up on progress, finances, and deliveries

· Participate in project and construction meetings

· Build and develop long-term customer relationships

Requirements

· Solid experience from construction, contracting, or project-intensive operations

· Experience in project management and financial follow-up

· Experience in calculations and quote preparation

· Good ability to read drawings and technical documents

· B driver's license

Meritorious

· Post-secondary technical education

· Experience in steel construction

· Familiarity with business systems and calculation programs
