Sörmland Water and Waste AB is responsible for producing and delivering high-quality drinking water, managing and treating wastewater, and handling household waste responsibly. We utilize our by-products by producing and delivering climate-friendly biogas and returning plant nutrients to productive farmland. For sustainable community development, we work resource-efficiently and in a circular manner with service and the environment every day. As a department manager, you will be a key person in developing the operations, strengthening employees, and driving strategic improvements. Responsibilities
As a Department Manager, you will have personnel responsibility for 8 employees who work at a strategic level to develop the operations in the short and long term. The department currently has high competence and expertise aimed at coordinating and driving strategic, company-wide, and long-term renewal planning of the company's facilities. This is to strengthen governance and prioritization throughout the organization.
The department's mission is to:
- Coordinate and be responsible for strategic renewal planning as well as investigations and planning.
- Develop a company-wide long-term facility strategy.
- Coordinate the owner municipalities' development and renewal plans as well as detailed planning work, etc.
- Strategic responsibility for the water and wastewater bank.
- Coordinate development work within the company.
The department has expert knowledge in capacity calculations, water and wastewater law, groundwater issues, the water and wastewater bank and mapping systems, stormwater, hydrological assessments, environmental issues, and measurement technology.
As a manager, you are responsible for creating the best conditions for your employees and being available in daily operations as well as following up and driving development in the long-term perspective. You will be a person within the company who can collaborate with others and be skilled at building relationships outside the company as the contact points extend beyond the company's walls.
You will be a salary-setting manager with your own budget responsibility and will report directly to the Operations Area Manager for Projects and Development.
Qualifications
Requirements for the position:
At least five years of experience in a leadership position. Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience in energy and environment, civil engineering, or logistics as assessed by the employer.
Meritorious:
Experience in the water and wastewater sector.
The employer applies a 6-month probationary period.
