Temporary Specialist Doctor in General Medicine for Health Center in Storuman
Region Västerbotten works to ensure that good health and sustainable development strengthen each other. We take responsibility for equitable welfare and for research and innovation to yield results.
The region's primary care provides broad primary care services throughout Region Västerbotten and meets patients of all ages, both in urban and rural areas. With 33 health centers and medical stations, we are where you are. We actively work with research and development and utilize medical results to offer high-quality care where the patient is involved. We want our employees to be engaged, have influence, and feel proud to work in the region's primary care. Here you have the opportunity for a job where you can balance an interesting and developing work life with a rich offering of outdoor activities, both summer and winter.
The medical stations are part of the southern Lapland primary care area, which is a model area in the transition to close care. With effective collaboration and a focus on the citizen, we drive important change processes within the region and together with the municipality. Clinical assessment at a distance and digital healthcare meetings are developing rapidly and are an important part of ensuring good, close, and accessible care in this area. Therefore, it is no coincidence that we are at the forefront in this area. The medical station model, which is an important starting point for close care, shapes both attitudes and working methods in the daily operations of the organization.
Storuman, Sorsele, and Tärnaby medical stations are part of the same base unit and are located in southern Lapland, 130 kilometers apart, with Sorsele and Storuman being 70 kilometers apart. The nearest hospital is Lycksele, where the county's ambulance helicopter is stationed.
Our medical stations function as well-equipped mini-hospitals with access to emergency care beds, X-ray, ambulance services, and laboratory. Our use of telemedicine is well developed. Here you will find occupational therapists, midwives, physiotherapists, social workers, doctors, psychologists, secretaries, nurses, and nursing assistants. We provide emergency medical care as well as regular work at the health center and have a well-developed collaboration between all our professional groups and with the municipalities.
We are now looking for a temporary specialist doctor in general medicine for our medical station in Storuman. The temporary position extends until the end of the year but with the possibility of a permanent position.
