Your Role

The Mechanics and Prototyping Workshop is part of Aeronautics Fighter Production. The department is responsible for series and prototype manufacturing of mechanical components primarily for the JAS 39 Gripen. You will be part of the mechanical workshop, which currently consists of 25 employees and a support team with production technicians, production managers, and quality engineers.

In your role as an assembler, you will work with series production, small-scale production, and various types of prototypes alongside others in your team. The work mainly consists of assembly, sealing, machining, as well as milling and turning of various components. Assembly of bearings and bushings, as well as larger components with tasks such as riveting, are also included. The tasks are very varied, and the team is responsible for the manufacturing, delivery, and quality of the components. In the role of assembler, you will manufacture mechanical assemblies according to drawings, which are mainly in 3D format.

The working hours for this position are daytime and are located in Tannefors, Linköping.

It is advantageous if you have previously worked with similar tasks or have completed an industrial technology education or equivalent. The job requires proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, and good computer skills.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, involve requirements for certain citizenship.
