Service Technician at Elgiganten

We are now looking for a technically skilled and practical service technician/mechanic for Elgiganten's modern logistics center – one of the most advanced facilities in the Nordics for automation and material handling. This position is a direct recruitment to Elgiganten, with the recruitment process handled by Adecco.

Here, you will work in a technology-intensive environment where mechanics are at the center, combined with electrical and automation work. You will be part of an experienced and cohesive team of technicians responsible for ensuring the facility operates optimally around the clock. This role is suitable for those who enjoy hands-on work, troubleshooting, and maintenance – and who want to further develop in an automated industrial environment.

About the Role

The position is full-time and involves working in a 3-shift system according to a rolling 3-week schedule (two weeks of day shifts and one week of evening shifts).

The work is fundamentally mechanical, with elements of electrical and control systems, and involves working closely with production to ensure high operational reliability.

Your main tasks will include performing preventive and corrective maintenance on automation and production equipment, conducting mechanical repairs, adjustments, and component replacements, as well as participating in improvement and modification work within the facility. You will also troubleshoot technical problems that combine mechanics and electricity, document deviations through failure reports and shift logs, and collaborate closely with production and other technical functions to prioritize the right actions. The role also involves working according to applicable health, environmental, and safety routines and contributing to order and structure in the workshop and facility.

We are looking for someone who has

• A high school education, preferably with a technical focus such as automotive, industry, mechanics, or electrical engineering.
• Several years of practical experience in technical maintenance or service work.
• You have a good mechanical understanding and are used to working with tools, machines, and moving systems. Experience from automotive mechanics, industrial mechanics, or service technology is highly relevant for the role.
• You have basic knowledge of electricity, can read electrical schematics, and are accustomed to troubleshooting technical systems.
• A valid driver's license (B) is required, and you are proficient in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Post-secondary education in technology, mechanics, electricity, or automation is an advantage but not a requirement – the right practical experience and attitude weigh heavier.
