Your Role

As a CNC operator at Saab, you have a central role in the manufacturing of high-precision components for advanced systems. You work in a modern and technologically advanced workshop where the focus is on quality, accuracy, and delivery reliability. Production takes place in short series with great variation, which requires you to be confident in your skills and enjoy a responsible and methodical working approach.

You are involved in the entire manufacturing process - from understanding drawings and requirements to ensuring that the components meet very high quality standards. The work is done in close collaboration with colleagues in an engaged team where structure, calmness, and professionalism characterize everyday life, the same professionalism that characterizes Saab as a whole.

Your Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor CNC lathes and, to some extent, 5-axis milling machines
• Set, adjust, and compensate machines as needed
• Measure and inspect parts to ensure tolerance requirements are met
• Work from drawings, work instructions, and established processes
• Contribute to good order, structure, and a quality-conscious working method in the workshop

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is open, driven, and curious, with a structured and responsible working approach. You have a calm and methodical way of working and feel confident in your professional role.

Requirements:

• Several years of experience in CNC turning
• Experience working with tight tolerances and high-precision parts
• Good knowledge of reading drawings and measurement techniques
• Fluent Swedish in speech and writing

Meritorious:

• Experience with Okuma machines or other equivalent control systems
• Programming experience, for example in Mastercam
• Experience in high-precision turning in small series
• Background from another precision industry, such as medical technology or aerospace

More about the position

• Working hours: Daytime, shift work may occur
• Employment type: Permanent employment with a six-month probationary period
• Security screening: Will be conducted prior to possible employment
