About the Position

We are now looking for an experienced MIG/MAG welder for an assignment in Vimmerby starting immediately. You will work with various welding tasks in a dynamic environment where quality and precision are the focus.

The position is a temp-to-hire through Montico HR Partner, where the right person will be offered a permanent position with the client after a period of temporary employment. This is a full-time position, and the shifts are scheduled during daytime, Monday to Friday, with early departures on Fridays.

Job Description

The work is performed at our client's facilities, and the welding method in this role is MIG/MAG (TIG, butt, and pipe welding), where the most common materials are steel and stainless steel in varying thicknesses between 1-30 mm. Grinding and joint preparation are part of the job, as well as visual inspection, which means you must be able to assess your welds.

You will manufacture based on 3D drawings, but primarily create customer-specific details in both large series and individual specialized sheet metal constructions. Therefore, we prefer that you have good knowledge of reading drawings, visual inspection, welding procedure specifications (WPS), and can communicate in Swedish both orally and in writing.

Your role will require precision and skill in welding and processing sheet metal details, but you will also have access to a modern machine park and work closely with several skilled and experienced welders who will provide support and expertise beyond your area, as well as a well-planned and welcoming introduction to your future workplace.

We are looking for someone who

• has previous experience in industrial or workshop work and education in welding or practical experience in welding.
• Has experience in MAG welding.
• Is self-driven with a strong ability to solve problems creatively.
• Is team-oriented with good communication skills.
• Has a good command of Swedish in both speech and writing.
• Has good knowledge of reading drawings and welding symbols.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in TIG welding.
• Welding certification according to ISO 9606-1.
• Experience in automated welding.
• Forklift/Crane training.

Svetsman is certified according to standards EN 3834-2 and 1090-2, so before starting your assignment, you may need to perform simpler tests in the form of manual assessments at our training unit in Vimmerby to ensure the required welding skills.
