Senior Electronics Developer

Your Role

As a senior electronics developer, you will be part of a dedicated team with both experienced and junior colleagues, where you will collectively drive development forward. The work involves developing electronics for robust and cost-effective solutions in close collaboration with system engineers, software developers, and production.

In your role, you will be involved in the entire electronics development process, from requirements analysis to verification. Your main tasks will include defining requirements, designing, simulating, verifying, and documenting electronics for embedded safety-critical avionics systems. This includes circuit board development (digital, analog, and/or power) and FPGA development. Initially, you will work with one of the areas and sub-tasks, but over time we look forward to you taking on greater responsibility.

Once you have built up knowledge and experience in developing airborne hardware, we hope you will also include team leadership in your work, which encompasses budgeting, planning, and monitoring the technical work for a smaller team.

The daily work with us is primarily conducted in Swedish, while documentation is mainly written in English.

Travel is not regularly included in the position but may occur for courses, conferences, or meetings at other Saab sites.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with several years of experience in the field who wants to contribute both expertise and engagement. As a person, you are communicative and thrive in collaborations where multiple competencies interact. You work in a structured manner and find it easy to create order even in complex development environments. As a team player, you enjoy collaborating with colleagues and see the value of clear dialogue and joint problem-solving.

You should have a bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, or equivalent.

For the position, you need to have knowledge in:

• Electronics design and/or FPGA development (VHDL)
• Swedish and English, fluent in both spoken and written

It is advantageous to have:

• Team leadership experience
• Interest in and knowledge of processors, memory, computer architecture, and embedded systems
• Development of safety-critical systems

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may involve requirements for certain citizenship.
