JOB DESCRIPTION

The Project Unit of the Community Building Administration is seeking an experienced project manager. Our unit is an integrated part of Växjö Municipality's community building process, where we work with both new developments and the improvement of existing infrastructure. We offer you a fun and varied job with overall responsibility for construction and civil engineering projects from planning and execution to handover to management.

You will participate in projects that can involve everything from roads and water management to parks, squares, and other municipal facilities. We work process-oriented and use the project management tool Antura.

As a project manager, you will work with:

• driving projects from idea to completion
• planning and monitoring budgets and resources
• analyzing risks and ensuring quality
• communicating and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
• conducting procurements and negotiating contracts with suppliers, consultants, builders, and contractors
• considering environmental and sustainability aspects

As a project manager within the community building administration, you must have good leadership skills and the ability to work cross-functionally to drive projects under complex circumstances where many interests and regulations interact.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a relevant engineering degree in civil engineering or road and water construction, along with several years of professional experience.

It is important that you thrive in a role with many contacts. Clear communication, a humble attitude, and the ability to independently drive projects forward with structure, precision, and decisiveness are important qualities.

The role also requires flexibility and good leadership skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with multiple functions, both internally and externally, to drive projects in complex situations.

We consider it an advantage if you have experience and familiarity with:

• working according to AB 04, AMA Construction, and MER Construction
• contract management and negotiation
• construction and civil engineering projects involving roads, parks, playgrounds, water management, bridges, squares, and other earthworks, such as remediation
• developing tender documents according to AMA
• cost estimation
