We are looking for someone with a natural hospitality and a strong sense of service. You work in a structured manner and are a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You adapt quickly when needed and maintain calm in pressured situations, always with an eye for quality and details.
In the restaurant, we serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We also take care of the bar and serve morning and afternoon coffee breaks to our conference guests.
The role of shift leader involves being the team leader during your shift while also performing the daily tasks in the department. You are involved in planning the department's work and play a part in creating a good service level, as well as motivating and developing the workgroup together with the restaurant manager.
You have experience leading a team both during smaller dinners and large banquets. You have good knowledge of our food and beverage offerings and can guide guests in a safe and inspiring way. Our guests can range from small workgroups to large corporate events with gala dinners in Runöhallen, as well as private events and arrangements. This provides great variation in the tasks.
The position involves:
Being responsible for the operation of the restaurant during your shift.
Leading the daily service work and ensuring a high level of service.
Driving sales and guest satisfaction.
Introducing and motivating new employees.
Ensuring that the company's standards and routines are followed.
Varied working hours.
Qualifications and skills:
Three years of experience in dining room work.
Experience in banquet and conference operations.
Experience in leadership with responsibility for opening and closing, as well as distributing and prioritizing tasks.
Experience in planning for banquets and events, such as schedules, seating arrangements, and flow logistics, as well as collaboration with other departments.
Knowledge and interest in food and beverages.
A genuine sense of service and hospitality.
Good collaboration skills and flexibility.
Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with restaurant systems.
Goal-oriented and driven regarding upselling.
Quality and brand thinking that provides security for employees and guests.
It is an advantage if you have an education in hotel and restaurant management or similar.
Experience working in a bar and bar service in larger volumes.
We recommend that you have a driver's license and access to a car (as we are a bit far from public transport).
