The Affective Reception is a specialist psychiatric outpatient clinic located at Huddinge Hospital.
Our mission includes treating and following up patients with affective disorders. We have about 25 employees who collaborate in teams based on the professional categories of specialist doctors, psychologists, specialist nurses, social workers, rehabilitation coordinators, assistant nurses, and medical secretaries/administrators.
Our patients are offered a wide range of care and treatment interventions based on a person-centered approach. The foundation consists of pharmacological treatment, and other treatment interventions are tailored to the patient's conditions and needs. Our focus is to offer patients requiring care at a specialist level high-quality interventions either individually or in groups. Close collaboration with inpatient care. Ongoing patient and relative education.
Job Responsibilities
As an assistant nurse, your duties include:
- Central role at the reception, which includes supporting all staff in unforeseen events
- Receiving all incoming calls and messages to the reception via TeleQ, Always Open, and 1177
- Ability to triage and assess patients to the correct professional category or care unit
- Conducting the reception's morning meetings
- Providing supportive conversations with a formulated assignment and purpose
- Close collaboration with inpatient care and the emergency reception, which is part of our care chain
- Conducting patient and relative education
- Ability to write records and register qualified contacts
Qualifications:
Requirements:
- Trained assistant nurse with several years of experience in psychiatry. You need to have a solid interest in affective disorders and their treatment.
- Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
You must be able to provide proof of a protected professional title for assistant nurses or an employer certificate confirming that you had a permanent position as an assistant nurse on July 1, 2023, in accordance with the transitional provisions (2021:739) in the Patient Safety Act (2010:659). Meritorious:
- Relevant education for the position
- Knowledge of healthcare data systems such as Take Care, TeleQ, Always Open, 1177, Lifecare.

The position is filled under the condition that it does not need to be used for internal relocation, according to applicable regulations.
For patient-related work within the Stockholm County Healthcare Area:
- Background checks will be applied before hiring decisions according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during employment.
- Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment medical examination, according to applicable directives, which is done through occupational health services before employment.
- In addition to Swedish professional certification, good knowledge of the Swedish language at level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
