We are now looking for a Cleaner at Arena Service.

Service and a good reception for our visitors at our facilities are among the most important things we deliver. Therefore, it is crucial that you are customer- and service-oriented as a person.

The tasks vary throughout the year, and you are expected to take responsibility for the tasks assigned to you. Together with the responsible manager and the workgroup, goals are set and tasks are distributed. You report to the unit manager.

Within Sundsvall Municipality, the operations for service work are organized for all our facilities and arenas within the Sports and Leisure Department's units. To maintain good service for the municipality's residents and to utilize the skills available in the organization, we help each other across the entire department. If necessary, working at another facility or unit may be relevant, especially important during holidays and vacation periods when we assist in staffing the facilities, etc.

Your contribution as a Cleaner

As a Cleaner at Arena Service, you are our face to the public. You meet our customers daily and are responsible for ensuring that our cleanliness and functionality goals are met. You have an eye for detail and contribute to ongoing improvements. Your responsibilities include the premises and arenas that are part of Arena Service. Work in other parts of the administration may occur.

Together with your colleague, you will divide the work according to a schedule. The assignment includes all tasks related to cleaning, such as daily and periodic cleaning. The work also includes working with our outdoor environment and activities during holidays. Experience with outdoor environments such as planting, flower care, and decorations is therefore an advantage.

Handling chemical products and agents is crucial in our work. The role includes responsibility for correctly storing and updating the department's chemical products according to current routines. Together with your immediate manager, you ensure the availability of our products and that substances have the correct safety data sheets, etc.

The job involves a significant amount of work with hand tools and heavy lifting.

The position includes shift work, with evening shifts and weekend work. As a starting point, you will work two weekends during an eight-week period. During other weeks, working hours are weekdays.

Your skills and experience

We are looking for someone with a high school education and experience in service work where customer contact and hospitality have been important parts. You need good computer skills and proficiency in the Swedish language. You speak the language fluently and write without problems, as well as being able to hold simple conversations in English.

A driver's license for manual transmission is required.

We expect you to meet the following requirements:

• Cleaning, chemical handling
• Work with public events

It is advantageous if you have experience in:

• Floor care and machinery
• Experience with outdoor environments and planting

As a person, you are relationship-building and enjoy working both independently and in a team. You always strive for the highest quality and best service. You are flexible in your approach and work; much can happen in our operations, and we sometimes need to adapt quickly. Providing service, demonstrating good hospitality, and being available both externally and internally are very important to us. You are meticulous and good at maintaining order. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
