Chef or School Meal Assistant at Rimforsa School

Do you want to work with food that makes a difference – every day? Kinda municipality is primarily looking for a chef, alternatively a school meal assistant, for the kitchen at Rimforsa School. With us, you have the opportunity to contribute to students' health, well-being, and learning through good, nutritious meals in a safe school environment.

About the Role

As a chef/school meal assistant at Rimforsa School, you will work with school meals for students in grades one to six. The role includes responsibility for preparing and serving lunch, as well as preparing salads, breakfast, and snacks. The work is done in close collaboration with other kitchen staff.

Depending on your skills and experience, the tasks can be adapted, with greater responsibility for cooking and planning if you are a trained chef.

The position is currently part-time at 60%, with the possibility of extension if the needs of the operation change, for example, due to personnel changes.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and/or serving of nutritious and balanced school meals
• Preparation of salad buffets, breakfast, and snacks
• Ensuring good hygiene, food safety, and order in the kitchen
• Providing a friendly and professional approach to students and colleagues
• Contributing to a well-functioning and positive collaboration within the kitchen team

Qualifications

• Chef training or documented experience as a chef is an advantage
• Experience working in school kitchens or large kitchens is an advantage
• Good knowledge of food hygiene and self-control
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Service-oriented, flexible, and responsible
