We are now looking for a new colleague to Angered Hospital. We seek someone who wants to work closely with colleagues and be an engaged force for our shared patients.

About the clinic

The diabetes clinic in Angered is a well-functioning unit where various professions together form a strong team with the patient in focus. The clinic primarily follows patients with type I diabetes but also patients with difficult-to-treat type II diabetes. The clinic in Angered has a somewhat higher prevalence of type II patients than other specialist clinics in the region, as the needs are greater in the geographical area that constitutes Angered Hospital's catchment area. Angered Hospital opened in 2015 and has a unique public health mission to support the population in the northeastern districts.

Job Responsibilities

As a diabetes nurse with us, you are an important part of the team around the diabetes patient. Your work includes independently managing your nursing clinic while also being an active part of the diabetes team. Your work consists of various tasks such as telephone counseling, appointment scheduling, adjusting and following up on treatment, and providing support to the patients you follow. Many of our patients use some of the technical aids offered in the form of CGM, insulin pumps, and connected insulin pens in addition to their medication treatment.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with further education in diabetes care, preferably covering at least 30 credits, or a licensed nurse with a specialist nursing degree focused on diabetes care. Experience working in Melior, ELVIS, and telephone counseling via Telia ACE is an advantage. We view positively if you have experience meeting your patients digitally as well.

A prerequisite for this position is that you have a good ability to work both independently and selflessly in a team. We value qualities such as good collaboration skills, flexibility, and a willingness to change to find new ways to advance care. Since the development of aids is rapid, it is an advantage if you have an interest in technology. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Conditions
