As a consultant in our dynamic business area for product development, you will have a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of future products and solutions for some of Sweden's most prominent and exciting companies.

As a Mechanical Engineer, the nature of the assignments varies greatly. In some assignments, you will be involved in project development from start to finish. In other assignments, you will enhance the customer's competence in specific areas or work with product maintenance. The assignments vary over time, and we carry out assignments both on-site at the customer and in our own facilities.

You will be based at AFRY's office in Västerås and/or at the customer's premises. In the long run, there may be an opportunity to work remotely.

Qualifications

You who are applying have:

• A degree in mechanical engineering or similar
• At least 5 years of experience in product development or mechanical design
• Very good knowledge of CAD tools such as Siemens NX, SolidWorks, or Creo or similar
• Experience working in PLM systems and accustomed to working systematically with product data
• Experience in calculations & dimensioning and working with product maintenance
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Driver's license B

Personal qualities: We are looking for someone who is self-driven, has a strong drive, and is confident in taking responsibility towards the customer. You are communicative, have an easy time building relationships, and can handle training and knowledge transfer in a pedagogical way. You are unpretentious, solution-oriented, and actively contribute to a positive and businesslike collaboration both internally and externally.
