At Region Gotland, meals are an important part of the whole – in schools, elderly care, and healthcare. Through your work with food and meals, you contribute to health, well-being, and quality of life for people of all ages. Here, food that matters is prepared every day.

In Klinteskolan's kitchen, both cold and hot meals are prepared for a total of about 600 portions per day, of which around 300 portions are transported to customers. The remaining food is served to the students in Klinteskolan's restaurant. The kitchen delivers and serves food to the social services and the education and labor administration.

We have five skilled individuals working with us on competence and development!

Your Responsibilities

As part of the team at Klinteskolan's kitchen, you will among other things:

• Prepare and cook delicious and nutritious meals.
• Ensure that preparations, cooking, and cleaning are done safely and efficiently.
• Actively work for continuous improvements and participate in the development of the kitchen, restaurant, and the organization as a whole.
• Maintain high quality in what the kitchen delivers and always focus on quality, in close collaboration with your colleagues.
• Contribute to a good atmosphere and a positive work climate.
• Ensure correct handling of special diets and work in the dietary program Matilda.
• Be part of a flexible operation that manages changes well by rotating within the kitchen, kitchen area, and department.

Who Are You?

We primarily seek someone with a documented restaurant education, such as a three-year high school education focused on restaurant and meal service, a KY education, or other relevant training that we consider equivalent. A B driver's license is required. Experience working in a kitchen and restaurant is an advantage.

To thrive in this role, it is important that you have experience in large kitchens and cooking, but we equally value your curiosity and willingness to learn new things. Experience with special diets, restaurant service, and interactions with guests is a plus, but the most important thing is that you want to develop and contribute in a team where learning and exchanging experiences happen every day.

You are an independent and stable person who takes responsibility for your work, while also having a strong overall perspective and understanding how your efforts affect guests, colleagues, and the organization as a whole. You are flexible and proactive, see opportunities for improvement, and want to actively contribute to the development of the kitchen and restaurant.

You have good collaboration skills and clear communication, and you enjoy working closely with colleagues and guests. Your service orientation means that you always keep the guest in focus, and you can adapt to situations and needs in a calm and professional manner.
