The Social Services Administration operates under the principle that all people we meet have the same value and are unique. Within the administration, there are IFO, LSS operations, social psychiatry, health and medical care, home care, and special accommodations. Approximately 800 employees work here around the clock for our target groups.

Elderly Care

In elderly care, you provide support and care for elderly individuals. You can work in home care, elderly care facilities, or short-term care.

• Elderly Care Facility Here, individuals who need support and care around the clock live. You assist with personal care, hygiene, and create comfort in everyday life. Working hours are during the day, evening, and weekends.
• Night Staff at Elderly Care Facility Do you enjoy a calmer pace? As night staff, you are there for the residents during the night and assist as needed. Night schedule, including weekends.
• Home Care With us in home care, you make everyday life easier for others – in their own homes. You provide care, support, and companionship. Working hours are during the day and evening. A driver's license is required.
• Night Patrol For those who enjoy night work! You travel to individuals who need care at night and assist with care and medication. Requires experience and a driver's license.

Functional Support and LSS

In this area, you work with individuals of various ages, both children and adults, who due to disabilities or mental health issues need support in their daily and social lives. We primarily recruit for:

• LSS Group Home Here, you support individuals with disabilities towards a more independent life. The work is varied and meaningful – day, evening, night, and weekends.
• Short-term LSS Here, you support children and adolescents with disabilities towards a meaningful leisure time. The work is varied – day, evening, awake night, and weekends.
• LSS Night Staff Do you enjoy a calmer pace? As night staff, you are there for the residents of the group home during the night and assist as needed. Awake night schedule, including weekends.
• Personal Assistance As a personal assistant, you make everyday life possible for someone else. You work in the person's home providing care and support. Working hours are during the day, evening, night, and weekends. A driver's license is required in some locations.

Social Psychiatry

In Social Psychiatry, you support individuals by being a part of their daily lives and providing support based on their individual needs. The support the person receives may involve assistance in daily life, support during leisure activities, and supportive conversations. In Social Psychiatry, you can work in:

• Housing Support You work in the user's home and provide support in daily life, such as cooking and planning. Working hours are during the day, evening, and weekends.
• Housing with Special Services At Johannagården, you provide support and care around the clock. You assist with personal care and create safety in everyday life. Day, evening, night, and weekends.
• Support Housing At Malmgården, you help individuals with substance abuse issues towards a sober and independent life. Working hours are during the day, evening, night, and weekends.

Qualifications:

We are looking for someone who:

• Has an interest in and enjoys care and support work
• Is a citizen of Sweden or another EU country, or has permanent residency or valid work and residence permits
• Is 18 years or older
• Has sufficient knowledge of Swedish to handle speech and writing in the job
• Can manage a physically active job with lifting, transfers, and stairs
• Can use a computer and mobile as work tools
• For certain positions, it is required that you can be in environments where there are pets, strong odors, and smoking
• For home care assignments in central Avesta, it is required to be able to cycle on the municipality's loan bikes
• For certain positions, a driver's license is required and the ability to drive the municipality's cars
• Can work the majority of the summer period (weeks 23–34) according to schedule. Time off during the period should be indicated in the application. If you wish to work as a substitute, we refer you to separate ads on avesta.se.

You are a secure and self-aware person who remains calm in stressful situations, adapts easily, and enjoys meeting people. You collaborate well and meet others with empathy and a service mindset.

It is advantageous if you have experience in care and support, pedagogy, or treatment, as well as relevant education such as care/support or child and leisure studies. Education or ongoing studies to become a nursing assistant/care assistant and previous delegations are also seen as a plus.

For positions where you will work with children and adolescents, you must be able to provide a criminal record extract from the police.
