The Clinic for Geriatrics and Rehabilitation Medicine is part of the Medicine Division. The department consists of inpatient care in Falun and outpatient care in Falun and Borlänge, with a total of approximately 135 employees at the clinic. We provide care within geriatrics and rehabilitation medicine, holding a county-wide mandate in several areas. Our most common target groups are patients with stroke or acquired brain injury, spinal cord injuries, and individuals with memory impairment/dementia. We have a good atmosphere and cohesion in the workplace. Work is carried out in multiprofessional teams where we highly value a person-centered approach. Our strength lies in our various professional competencies collaborating across boundaries to provide patients with high-quality care. The clinic employs, among others, physicians, nurses, assistant nurses, social workers, psychologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and medical secretaries.

In preparation for the summer, we need to strengthen our staffing with an additional resident physician for inpatient care.

Inpatient care consists of 16 beds. As a resident physician in inpatient care, you play an important role in the department's workflow. You will handle patient admissions and discharges, write referrals, conduct ward rounds, and maintain contact with other departments. You will work closely with the attending physician and collaborate closely with other professions on the ward.

This advertisement is for a summer interim position, but for the right candidate, there is an opportunity for continued work during the autumn.

Requirements:

• Licensed physician
• Alternatively, as a medical student, you must have completed term 10
• Swedish language skills corresponding to at least level C1
